Both in his own life and on the canvas, Kim English combines technical bravura with careful observation.  What he brings to our attention are magical moments - such as walking through an old-world arched passageway wondering what might be on the far side - not the far side itself but those moments of anticipation just before.  

Kim English explores and creates visual observations of everyday life capturing the human spirit on canvas. Mikkel Saks says of Kim, "Day in and day out, Kim English is one of the finest artists in the country today. His brush work is spectacular, his compositions are electric, and his colors create a fantastic illusion of life."
